Third National Conference: Media Nexus – 2024

A one-day national conference titled “Media Nexus: Promoting Equity, Resilience and Social Transformation” was held at St Paul’s college on 17th April , 2024. The conference featured presentations, panel discussions, and parallel discussions on a variety of themes related to the media’s role in social change. The program was inaugurated by Ms. Elizabeth Jancy & Ms. Rashi Shetty by welcoming the 8 chief guests including our principal Dr. Tenzin Pasang la.

The panel discussion on INNOVATION VS. TRADITION ADAPTING HIGHER EDUCATION TO MODERN CHALLENGES was spoken by four distinguished speakers namely Rev. Fr. Dr Thomas M J , Prof. A Mumtaj, Prof. Gururaj S and Prof. Tenzin Pasang.
Prof. Tenzin Pasang talked about traditional education systems while referring to the book composed by His holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s titled “Beyond Religion”.

“Media nexus” conference held 9 different plenum sessions and the session 7 was chaired by Dr. Supriya M, Assistant Professor, Dalai Lama institute for higher education.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt speech from Rev Fr Dr Thomas MJ. who congratulated the recipients on their achievements and distributed the certificates. Following the closing remarks, a photo session was held to commemorate the occasion.

The St. Paul National Conference on “Media Nexus” provided a valuable insight on the role of media in promoting an equitable society.
