The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE), Bangalore, successfully conducted Research and Publication Lecture Series – I as part of its ongoing initiatives under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Faculty Development Programme.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. M. J. Vinod, a distinguished academician from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. The topic of the session, “Importance of Research and Publication in Higher Education,” addressed key aspects of academic research and its relevance in today’s higher education landscape.
During the session, Prof. Vinod highlighted the significance of research in enhancing teaching quality, promoting innovation, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge. He emphasized that research and publication are essential components of academic excellence and play a crucial role in the professional growth of faculty members as well as institutional development.
The lecture also provided practical insights into maintaining academic integrity, and publishing in reputed journals. Faculty members were encouraged to actively engage in research activities, collaborate with peers, and contribute to scholarly discourse through meaningful publications.
The primary objective of this lecture series is to encourage, facilitate, and support the faculty members of DLIHE in research and publication activities. Through such initiatives, the institution aims to foster a vibrant research culture and strengthen its academic ecosystem.
