The students and faculty of Dalai Lama Institute visited the IIM Bangalore campus, this 27th of August 2019. The purpose of the trip was to expose our students to a premier B-school, and hopefully inspire them to strive for admission into this institution at the pinnacle of academic achievement.
The day’s trip started with the assembly of students in an auditorium where a briefing on the programmes/courses on offer was conducted by a concerned officer, thereafter an interactive Q&A session was organised with the first-year PGP students at IIM.
After tea (informal discussion) break of about 15 minutes, all were assembled back to the auditorium where our students enthralled the audience with a couple of traditional cultural dance and songs. It was followed by a brief presentation on our Institute by our Vice-Principal Mr Dawa Tsering. The audience was particularly moved by the story of the inception of Tibetan Children’s Village organisation from its humble beginning in 1960 to its latest endeavours of having started a Tibetan college- a first of its kind in the exile community. The day-long activities ended with a campus tour.
The students were particularly curious about the assessment and eligibility criteria, along with availability of financial assistance for eligible candidates. The campus tour was a highlight of the visit as the students were very impressed with their excellent infrastructure, both academic and student support services. Student Testimonials
IIM Bangaluru is a place to be. Visit to the institution went beyond my expectation. I was awed when it comes to collage ambiance, infrastructure and students life. The atmosphere there was such that I felt every corner is welcoming students to sit and study. I was really impressed by the different course the provide, wide range of placement with great job opportunities.
I have to say it is the best institution I’ve ever visited. I loved my time there. It was one of the best opportunity I’ve grabbed and the day turned out to be worthwhile.
I will stay cautioned always.
IIM BANGALURU, who would not dream of getting admission in such institution. Thank you – Tenzin Kalsang (Bcom 2nd year student)
First of all, the one thing that we noticed is the beautiful campus with the peaceful environment no wonder why the three idiots movie were shot in this institute.
When we went into the seminar hall the students over there were very friendly and helpful our students got many knowledge and information about how things work inside the institution and also about other things. Overall the trip was very educational and we hope we would get another chance to visit. Thank you – Tenzin Wangchuk (Bcom 2nd year)
It’s a great pleasure in visiting IIMB. As from entering the college we were escorted by the natural beauties of flower and flora. More over with your genuine welcome and throwing lights on your college history was amazing. Regarding that, we were also enjoyed in sharing our own culture and identity.
The fact that your college frequently integrates with the rest of the foreign colleges especially from Europe was totally enchanted.
Certainly we loved to have an eye on your college and that brief section of our tour would be a breath-taking memory.

IIM Bangalore university is the top business college in India and also it’s so popular in international… We the commerce student of Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education are so lucky to get such a great opportunity to visit in IIM university.
When we first saw the university, it felt like back in 90’s university. Very ancient but it was so contempory inside the university. It was beyond our expectation. Infrastructure, surroundings, and environment were so well kept and beautiful too.
The way the student talks and interact with us were very confident and extrovert that we didn’t have. Among all these we like the library the most, vast and prodigious.- Jangchub Wangtso (BBA 1ST year)
