The 56th Tibetan National Uprising Day was commemorated at the Institute with simple formal function where the Kashag Address and the Chedu Address were shared with the student body and the staff members at the function.

The Student Council organized another programme. In this programme students distributed pamphlets and other literature on Tibet both in Mysoru and Bengaluru cities targeting over 12 major colleges and universities, bus terminals and train stations and malls. A third group of students jointed the main function in Bengaluru city along with Bengaluru Youth Congress.
