The Student Council generally takes responsibility for organizing all student related co-curricular activities of the institution in consultation and collaboration with the administration. Such are held every Saturday or as after school hour programs during weekdays. The programs provide intellectual, social and cultural stimulation, interaction and opportunities to learn from participation and literally ‘learning to be.’ For example: During first Saturday there was an entire campus cleaning activity, last Saturday (March 23)an Interdepartmental English debate on the topic, “Competition is necessary for learning process” was organized. This Saturday, (March 28) students will do a presentation on news-update for the year.
Games and Sports: This month, the Tibetan Department in conjunction with their Celebration of the 80th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness, initiated Inter-Departmental Games and Sports program. Thus every day the evening, the air is filled with shouts of fun and joy and sometimes agony. Every Department including a staff team sent their men and women basket-ball, badminton teams. The Final winning teams had their match with visiting teams from TCV Youth hostel, Bangalore.
The B.Com Department organized a cricket Tournament to live the World Cricket matches in the campus.
This week-end the BA (Pol. Science) students made it Fund Raising affair. Laphing and momos filled everyone’s stomach and hearts. These students are hoping to generate enough money to buy an LCD projector for their class.
Entertainment: BCA Department organized a Computer Gaming event on 6th and 7th of March, 2015 to de-stress post examination hangovers. There were four different games. (COUNTER STRIKE, FIFA, and TEMPLE RUN &PIANO RUN) Each game had a cash price. The Gaming Event was open for all the students. More than 100 participants participated.
