A short film titled, “ Journey Within: Through the Ups and Downs” was screened at the Ak-Ka- Ma seminar hall on 24th June. The film is originally produced and copyright free, produced by three students under the guidance of Ms. Tenzin Bhuti, Campus Counselor. It’s a 10 minute film which portrays a journey of a student through despair, dismay and imposter to acceptance, acknowledgement and appreciation. It also sends the message of seeking help and acceptance of not being okay is also fine. Towards the end of the film, students read out a few messages ranging from “ being open to help, and how listening heals ”to “ breaking away the stigma that shames us more than the mental illness”. In the end, the DLIHE Principal, Gen Dawa Tsering gave away a word of thanks and appreciation for all those who have pitched in and affirmed on the need to have an optimistic mind and positive life.
