DECEMBER 15- 30, 2016
Prof. Nawang Phuntsog, Associate Professor of Education at California State University, Fullerton, USA conducted series of lectures on Research Methodology for the 4th year students and faculty members from December 15-30, 2016. Almost sixty people attended this two week program. Each day Dr. Phuntsog held two sessions of two hours respectively – one in the morning and the second session in the afternoon. The morning sessions were for all the 4th year BA Honours students specializing in Tibetan language and Literature and Chinese Language and Literature numbering almost forty. Immediately after completing this training on Research Methodology, these students will spend their last semester doing internship. Therefore, these sessions were crucial and a great direction for improving the quality of their research and experience. The afternoon sessions were attended by MA students who especially came from Sarah college, Dharamsala for this program. They were joined by faculty members who also took advantage of this event. This second group numbered about twenty- ten students and ten faculty members.
The Institute is truly grateful to Dr. Nawang Phuntsog who gave up his holiday time to be here to conduct this much needed event that will practically make is difference in the quality of academic work here.
