The Department of Commerce and Management organized an Intra-Department Pick and Speak competition on October 31, 2023, at the Aa-Ka-Ma Seminar Hall. The competition was attended by principal of the college along with Dean and the HODs. The students from other departments attended the competition as well. The competition aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of commerce and management terminologies and promote critical thinking, expand vocabulary, concise presentation skills, and peer-to-peer leaning. The competition features three levels: Green, Yellow and Red. The theme of the competition was based on the movie series Squid Game.

In the initial green level, there were 18 participants i.e., 3 students from each class. Following round, 9 participants eliminated, leaving 9 in the yellow level and 5 in the red level. As the level progressed, the difficulty of the challenge increase, ensuring that participants were pushed to expand their knowledge and analytical abilities, meanwhile giving them time to think and time to speak.

The Pick and Speak event proved to a great success, achieving its objectives and providing and engaging platform for students to enhance their understanding of commerce and management concepts. The active participation of students and the progression through difficulty levels made the competition both educational and entertaining.
