ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2021-22

The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE) organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted Undergraduate Students of Regular Subjects on 18th Oct, 2021. The objective of the programme was to welcome our incoming students and give them awareness of the rules and regulations of DLIHE, as well as campus culture and options for extra-curricular activities.

The orientation began with a brief Introduction and opening prayer. The Programme was presided over by Principal Madam Dr. Kaveri Gill, who in her welcome address emphasized the importance of making the best use of one’s undergraduate life and the importance of holistic development of students in all the spheres. Principal Ma’am also spoke about DLIHE being a unique Institution, which provides modern education coupled with ancient knowledge of Buddhist Philosophy, Secular Ethics and the Tibetan Language.

The Registrar of the Institute, Venerable Geshe Dorjee Gyurmey la, briefed students about the Rules and Regulations of DLIHE and requested the students to understand and abide by these rules and norms.

Ms. Tenzin Sangmo, Head of Commerce Department, gave necessary information about the Co-Curricular Activities and Societies that are available in DLIHE.

Dean of Staff and Students Welfare, Mr. Ngawang Tenzin, gave a Virtual Campus tour and shared a video “Welcome Message” to Freshers by the Faculty and outgoing students.

The Programme was hosted by Ms. Tenzin Choedon, Acting Dean of Regular Subjects, who also proposed a vote of thanks.
