Visit of Sarnath Professor:

On Monday, Reknowned Professor of Sarnath, Mr. Lhakpa Tsering visited our college for one week to talk about the evolution of Tibetan language, usage of grammer, handwriting, and the reading style of Tibetan language. This talk was divided into two periods. First period was for Tibetan department from Morning 11:40 am to 1:30 pm. Second period was from evening 4 pm to 5:30 pm for all the students and staff. This talk was held in the new seminar hall. Mr. Lhakpa Tsering gave the talk on three topics as follows:

Importance of our Mother Tongue
The present status of Tibetan Language
Ways to revive the Tibetan Language.

Organic Farming:
There is a space getting reading for some organic farming near staff quarters. It was started by the idea of Sir Pushkar Pandey and E.V.S Lecturer Mr. Tashi Phuntsok. Since having the permission to use that place, they are putting their energy and working on it every 5pm onwards for the last two weeks now. They have done a great work. This work will go on till it is completed. Gen Tashi Phuntsok doing a great job also that he is spending from his own pocket for this farming.

Two Finalists for Student Council President Election (Year 2017-2018):
The Student Council had announced New Student Council President Election year 2017-2018. There was a rush about this chair and 2nd Year senior students had to take participation for this Chair. It was so tough and it was very difficult to choose two finalists by the students. However, Student Council got two finalists for this ongoing election of student council president for year 2017-2018. The two finalists of this ongoing election are Mr. Tenzin Dhargyal (BA 2nd Year), and Mr. Tsultrim Namgyal (BA 2nd Year).
The two finalist for this ongoing election will hopefully begin their campaign this week.

Boys Hostel President Election (Year 2017-2018):
On Friday Evening, 17th March, 2017, the present president of boys hostel Mr. Tenzin Jampa had announced Election of New Boys Hostel President. All the boys were requested to gather in boys hostel veranda at 9 pm. All the boys and the warden, Mr. Gyatso, were gathered at 9pm. There are four candidates for this ongoing election namely Mr. Lobsang Tashi ( BA 2nd Year), Mr. Loyak Tashi (BAHTL 2nd Year), Mr. Nyima Palden (BA 2nd Year), and Mr. Suraj (BA 2nd Year). The candidates introduced themselves and expressed what they could do for the hostel.

Education Tour:
The 3rd Year Geography students went for an educational tour to Kanyakumari, Madurai, Rameswaram, and Kodaokkanal Hill Station. This education tour was headed by Geography lecturer Mr. Tenzin Dhoden and especially Professor Eswarappa. By Interviewing one of the geography students, he stated that the most interesting part of this educational tour was the Kanyakumari sunset and sunrise and also they saw an auspicious weather at Kodaikkanal Hill Station.
