The Dlihe Entrepreneurship Club & Department of Commerce of DLIHE organised a guest lecture on “Chartered Accountancy course” & “GST in the context of Tibetan community “ on 29th september 2018.
The guest speaker was CA Dawa Choezom la from chennai. The HoD, Mr Tenzin Namgyal introduced the Guest Speaker and explained the purpose of organising such lecture. There were two sessions and the first session was on CA course. The speaker CA Dawa la gave a presentation on CPT/ IPCC and Final of the CA course by covering all related topics. She even shared her own personal experience of how she dealt with many a challenges and diffculties while studying CA. In a nut shell, she advised student not to get distracted and instead stay focussed while studying CA. She further cautioned that once a student has chosen to study CA, he/she should have the ‘can do attitude’, never gonna give up mindset and the determination to complete the course .The session ended with the Q&A.
The Second session was on “GST with reference to Tibetan Community. In this session she highlighted the differences between Direct and Indirect Tax; Introduction of GST in India; and GST tax slabs and regulation. These two session were thoroughly enjoyed by the students with an interactive discussion and Q&A at the end.
The session concluded with HoD thanking the guest speaker and particularly TED, Dept of Finance of CTA for sponsoring this event.
Our vice Principal Mr Dawa Tsering expressed great pleasure and appreciation to CA Dawa la (who is his former student) for her examplary feat and for being such a wonderful inspiration to our younger tibetan students. He encouraged the students to follow and learn from CA Dawa la (Ex TCV) and never waste their time in frivolous things.
Our Principal Dr. B Tsering also thanked CA Dawa la and advised students of the importance of staying focussed.
