On 22nd March 2025, we took the entire first-year students to visit the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum and Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. The museum and the planetarium are in the heart of the Bangalore City near Cubbon Park.
We have a total of forty three students and 4 faculties lead by EVS lecturer, Mr. Tashi Phuntsok. We hired a bus for travelling to and fro.
We left our institute at 8:00 am. We reached Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum at 9:00 am. Our students had a good time exploring things displayed on the front gate before entering the museum. We took a group photograph just before entering the museum.
We entered the museum at 9:30 am and our students explored and learnt various techniques and ideas till 1:30 pm. In the meantime, they had an opportunity to watch 3D shows, Science on Sphere show, and Science show within the museum. Since 22nd March is World’s water day, we were invited to attend a program with activity. Tenzin Palmo of BA II Semester, Tenzin Norzom of BCA II Semester, Dawa Tashi of BBA II Semester, Tenzin Sonam of BCA II Semester scored well in the activity and won prizes. We came out of the museum at 1:30 pm and boarded the bus and went to Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.
We had lunch at the planetarium from 2:00 to 2:30 pm. We would like to thank the institute’s cook for cooking such a delicious lunch.
Our students explored the science park on campus of planetarium from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Then, we stood in queue for tickets to watch a show on Gravity. Students were highly impressed by the show.
We boarded the bus right after the show and headed towards the institute. We reached our institute around 6:30 pm.
Students were asked to write reports on the educational tour as part of their writing assignment for the above visit.
Students and staff who attended the educational tour spared the amount for all kinds of entry tickets. We would like to thank the institution for the kind and generous support to the students in facilitating the event by providing travel expenses and lunch.
