DLIHE was delighted to receive Sikyong Penpa Tsering at our Institute last Sunday. 

Sikyong la was accompanied by CRO, South Zone,  Kungoe Jigmey Tsultrim and other CTA staff. 

In his address to the staff and students in the Ak-Ka-Ma hall, Sikyong la talked about the pressing need to protect Tibetan culture and  tradition, and paid tribute to the Government of India for graciously offering us exile status and supporting our cause since 1959.

Sikyong la also spoke of an e filing  initiative, establishing a “permanent strategy committee”, and other upcoming plans. His talk was followed by a short yet interesting Q & A session.

DLIHE’s Principal, Dawa Tsering gave the welcoming address giving a brief history of the institute.  

Our Administrstor/Registrar, Geshe Lobsang Gyaltsen la delivered the vote of thanks. 

In the end, a group photo with the Sikyong of CTA and attendees was taken, and lunch was served.
