On 21st September, 2024, the Commerce and Management Department held a session titled “Beginner’s Guide to Trading” from 11:50 am to 1:30 pm. The event featured two speakers, Mr. Ngawang Tenzin and Mr. Dawa Norbu, who shared valuable insights into the world of trading. They began by explaining the fundamental differences between trading and investing, emphasizing the importance of understanding risk and reward in both approaches. Key concepts such as price action and trend trading were explored, along with technical tools like support and resistance.
The speakers also delved into various chart types, focusing on the popular candlestick charts. They explained the significance of green and red candlesticks in market movements and introduced the white and black marubozu patterns. To provide participants with a well-rounded understanding, the session concluded with a discussion on common chart patterns and a practical demonstration of trading techniques.
