On August 12, 2024, Gen Sonam Sichoe la, President of the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), visited the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE). He delivered an inspiring talk to the new students, emphasizing the importance of education, perseverance, and the role of young Tibetans in preserving their culture and heritage. He highlighted the historical importance of the institute and it’s vision and mission. Gen Sonam Sichoe la encouraged students to strive for excellence in their academic and personal lives. During his visit, he also inaugurated the new Institute T-Shirts to foster a sense of belonging among students. This visit was a significant event for DLIHE, leaving a lasting impact on the freshers and setting a positive tone for the new academic year.
