On the 18th of September, 2023, students from Class XII Commerce at TCV School Bylakuppe ventured on an educational excursion to The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE). They had the unique opportunity to spend the night at DLIHE, making the experience even more enriching.
Upon their arrival at the Institute Catering Centre, the students and their accompanying teachers were warmly welcomed. Dr. Tenzin Pasang, the Principal of DLIHE, provided them with a brief orientation about the institute, its mission, and vision. Subsequently, Mr. Ngawang Gyatso, the Dean of Regular Studies at DLIHE, introduced the students to the various courses and add-on programs offered by the institution. A lively Question and Answer session followed in the Aa Ka Ma Seminar Hall, where the students had the chance to engage with the institute’s administration.
In the evening, everyone enjoyed a refreshing break with some snacks before proceeding on a campus tour. The students were given a glimpse of the diverse facilities and areas within the DLIHE campus, further enhancing their understanding of the institute’s environment and resources.
The evening program reached its conclusion with the screening of the movie “Seven Years in Tibet” at the Aa Ka Ma Hall. Both students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed this cinematic experience.
The following morning, a breakfast was served before the group departed for Bangalore City, where they continued their educational excursion. We hope this visit to DLIHE proved to be an informative and memorable experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for higher education and personal growth among the students.
