Mr. Lobsang Norbu embarked on a remarkable journey to India in 2003 at the age of six, crossing the Himalayas under the pressure of the Chinese threat. With the blessings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, he was fortunate to receive his education at the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School in Gopalpur, where he studied from kindergarten through Class XII. Mr. Lobnor is deeply grateful to TCV for shaping his identity and values. Throughout his schooling, he was an active participant in both academics and sports. During high school, he served as a house monitor, supervising over 200 students. Under his leadership, his house won the overall championship in the inter-house competitions.

Mr. Lobnor pursued his Bachelor’s degree at The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education. Alongside his studies, he served as a Department Monitor and contributed to his department’s success in winning the inter-departmental sports and cultural competition. In his final year, he also participated in the GCMGC tournament, where he played an instrumental role in raising funds and contributing to the team’s training efforts.

He completed his Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Mysore. Beyond academics, Mr. Lobnor engaged in several important initiatives, including co-founding AITSAM (All India Tibetan Student Association’s Meet), an organization that fosters the exchange of ideas, talents, and expertise among Tibetan youth. Mr. Lobnor and his team successfully organized their event in Bylakuppe.

In addition, he was elected sports captain of the Mysore Tibetan Students Association (MTSA) and was honored with the title of Mr. Fresher by FISAM-M (Federation of International Students), representing Tibet.

Mr. Lobnor has also completed several certifications, including:

  • A six-month diploma in Tibetan Language and Buddhist Philosophy Studies
  • Certified AWS RE/Start Amazon Web Service Training & Cloud Practitioner course

In terms of work experience, Mr. Lobnor spent a year at Orbit Future Academy as a Quality Control Analyst and worked part-time as a Team Leader for Monlam English-Tibetan Translation.
