A. Educational Qualification and Training:

    1. Completed school education in 1975 from Darjeeling Central School for Tibetans with first division, which was the minimum requirement to bag an Indian government scholarship for further studies.
    2. Attended Hansraj College, University of Delhi in 1976 : Completed B.A. English (Hons) in 1978
    3. Attended University of Delhi : Completed M.A. in English in 1982
    4. Joined Government College of Panjab University in Chandigarh :   Completed B.Ed. in 1983

B. Work Experience:

  • Joined Tibetan Children’s Village School in Dharamshala in 1984
  • Took a break from teaching in 1990.
  • Joined Namgyal Higher Secondary in Kathmandu in 1992
  • Retired from teaching in October 2007
  • Joined the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education in 2023

Other Academic Writing Skills:

  • Translation from Tibetan to English and vice versa
  • Transcription of English and Tibetan speeches (I did transcription of speeches for Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPiE) in 2019 and 2022)
