Mentseekhang comes to Campus
Earlier, the Mentseekhang doctors were supposed to visit the institute on October 1. The visit got postponed to October 8. Many students and the staff availed themselves of the care and service provided.

Friday VOA Show
On the evening of October 9, the Student Council supported by Student Techteam organized a screening of the VOA show in the institute hall. A large number of students showed up for the screening although it was Second Saturday outing nite.

Saturday Movie Night
The movie for this Saturday Movie Night was ‘The Great Debaters’. It’s a drama based on the true story of Melvin B.Tolson (Denzel Washington), a poet and a professor who taught at predominantly black Wiley College in Texas in 1935. He decides to start a debate team, something nearly unheard of at a black college. This debate team later becomes the first group of black students to be ever invited to the Harvard University. The students’ cheers and laughter echoed their enjoyment in the hall.

Department Song and Dance Practice
This week, most students are busy with their song and dance practices as there is going to be an inter-departmental song and dance competition on October 17. Each department has to come up with a solo , a Tibetan dance, a western dance and a duet.

Basic Computer Class for the non BCA Students.
Starting this Monday, October 12, a ‘One Month Basic Computer Class’ for the non BCA student began. The opportunity is extended to everyone interested under the condition that once enrolled; attendance is mandatory till completion of the program. BCA students are conducting the classes from 4-5 for six days a week.. This is a Student Council Program.

Prayer and Sang Sol
As per tradition at the institute, prayer and Sang-sol was held on October 14, at 7:30 a.m. as this day was the first Wednesday of a new month according to Tibetan Lunar Calendar,

Cultural Festival
A Cultural Festival was held at the Institute’s Catering Center to celebrate the 8th Anniversary of award of US Congressional Gold Medal to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It was an evening of Inter-departmental song and dance competition The Student Council organized this event.

Preliminary Election for Sikyong and 16th Chitue
On Sunday, 18th October, 2015, the preliminary election for Sikyong and 16th Chitue was organized by the local Election Committee at the Academic building. Voting started at10:00 am and continued past 5:00 p.m. Over 200 voters were registered and about 173 exercised their right to vote.

T.T Tournament at the Men’s Hostel
At the Men’s hostel, the Cabinet members organized a T.T tournament. The entry fees was Rs. 20/- for a single game and 40/- for double. The tournament started on 19th October, 2015
