Certificate Course in Chinese Language

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Chinese Language Program (CLP) of the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education aims to provide non-native speakers with intensive Chinese Language instruction focusing on Mandarin Chinese. The CLP is under the Department of Chinese Language and Literature which offers both a three-year BA Degree in Chinese Language and Literature (BACL) and a four-year BA Honours Degree in Chinese Language and Literature (BAHCL).

The CLP aims to provide short intensive courses where students participate in listening, speaking, reading and writing classes at three different levels taught both by native and non-native speakers of the Mandarin Chinese. It is a very structured program based on the Integrated Chinese Text series.

Students have the choice to exit or continue to the next level as the case may be. It is not mandatory to complete all the courses at ONE go. Students can return to complete the next level after a gap of not more than one year.

After the completion of each level, the Institute will issue participation and course completion certificates.
